EXO was selected as one of Billboard’s ’14 Artists to Watch in 2014.’
Billboard released an article titled ’14 Artists to Watch in 2014’ on January 13, and named EXO in the list.
Billboard introduced EXO stating, “EXO looks positioned to be K-pop′s next crossover phenom with an American fanbase brewing for the 12-member boy band.”
The article also praised EXO’s music, stating, “The video for Southern hip-hop-inspired “Growl” was 2013′s third most viewed K-pop music video in the U.S., after the internationally-recognized PSY and Girls′ Generation.”
EXO sold over a million copies of its first official album XOXO and received the prizes from 2013 MelOn Music Awards and 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards. The group also received various awards from Korean and Chinese end-of-year award ceremonies, getting recognition for its achievements.
EXO also ranked number one on Billboard’s ’20 Best K-Pop Songs of 2013,’ proving itself to be a globally recognized group.
Meanwhile, EXO will be attending the 28th Golden Disk Awards taking place on January 16.
